Epic Semi Partners with National Semiconductor Hub to Accelerate Semiconductor Innovation in Saudi Arabia

LOS GATOS, California, August 27, 2024 – Epic Semi, a leading global provider of custom chip solutions, today announced its strategic partnership with the National Semiconductor Hub (NSH) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NSH aims to localize the electronic chip design center and make the Kingdom a regional center for semiconductors by attracting and hosting semiconductor design companies. The NSH initiative, launched by Saudi Arabia with over $266 million in venture capital, aims to attract 50 semiconductor design companies, train 5,000 engineers, and bring in 25 top experts by 2030. Backed by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), the Hub will also invest SR150 million to drive innovation, develop talent, and reduce reliance on semiconductor imports.
